Exams for Children

child eye examsThe American Optometric Association recommends that pre-school children receive a complete vision exam at the ages of six months, three years and five years.  It is particularly important that a child have a complete evaluation in the summer prior to entry into Kindergarten.  While in school, yearly evaluations are recommended.

Early diagnosis of poor eyesight and and vision-related disorders can save your child from having trouble in school that may be misdiagnosed as attention deficit or some other behavioral or mental challenge. Pediatric Vision Development Center specializes in the care and treatment of children and can help your child limit the challenges he or she has with vision.
